Chicago-based banjo and guitar player, band leader and punk-grass musican Al Scorch will play a special afternoon/early evening (3-6 p.m.) show at Ennui Gallery, 134 Bent Street, in Taos on Sunday, May 6.
“Scorch’s music and lyrics straddle the line between bone-chilling, literary testimonials and boisterous, revival tent revelry,” reads the artist’s bio page at bloodshotrecords.com, the website of Bloodshot Records, which signed Scorch in 2016 and released his most recent album, Circle Round the Signs.
Scorch will be joined by Hannah Fidler on bass and Jess McIntosh on fiddle. The show will also feature special guest Pete Fields from Slow Motion Cowboys.
Here’s a sample of Scorch’s music.
