So far in 2026, TCA’s Encore Gallery has held a retro-television tower, co-created paintings by two best friends, and ecological works crafted from natural materials. Still to come are a youth-led Intern takeover and a photo exhibit that corresponds with a Taos Auto Cruise Organization car show. What would YOU bring to the Encore in 2027?

Open to emerging and established artists
Accepted media: drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, installation, or a combination of wall and sculptural works
Collaborations welcome

Submission Process

To submit work for consideration, there are 2 options:

1. Submit a proposal by email to Alice Morillon at alice@tcataos.org that includes:

a. Short exhibition proposal

b. Artist statement/bio

c. 10-15 samples/images of work (10 mb file size limit)

d. Whether you are open to being included in a group exhibition

2. Fill out this google form (uploading images of work required)

In this madcap theatrical adventure, playwrights randomly pick a cast and prop, then have 24 hours to whip up a 5-to-10 minute one-act play. The next morning actors receive their scripts and have only that day to memorize and rehearse. At 7 pm, ready or not…IT’S SHOWTIME! No experience needed–just GUTS and a love of theatre. One Hundred Pictures of T.A.C.O. 2018-2026″ covers eight years of the Taos Auto Cruise Organization meeting at various locations around Taos and celebrating the vibrant and varied car culture of Taos New Mexico. The artistic skills of custom car builders and the community that supports them is captured in these images.

Artist Bio

Jeff Cochran is a professional artist that is represented by some of the best galleries in the Southwest. His career as an oil painter has covered more than thirty years. His interest in the art of building custom cars and the restoration of classic cars began as a teenager. His photographs of the classic cars of T.A.C.O. captures the joy that the cars bring to an audience and the interaction that happens between spectators and the works of art.

“These cars are an expression of personality and culture. When you work on a car, you form a bond with it and when a person spends thousands of hours building a car, there is a vibe that the car puts out and viewers feel it. I tried to capture some of those moments with the cars of T.A.C.O. There are some true artists in this car club.” – Jeff Cochran
