You know all that talk around Taos about “where are all the young artists”? Well, the brand-new Ennui Gallery brings you four fantastic young Taos artists in one go.J
Ennui Gallery in El Prado (formerly Francesca’s and before that Taos House of Coffee) will feature the work of:
- Sarah Hart (painting, screen printing),
- Cisco Velarde (photography),
- Ren Geertsen (mixed media, recycled art, robot stuff), and
- Monsterrat Oyanedel Tolmo (jewelry, accessories)
To those of you wondering about the name, Ennui \än-‘we\ is a French term for boredom. They say “All of us came to our particular crafts to escape ennui.” Well, this gallery is going to kick the ennui for all of us — four seriously-talented artists working in very different mediums and styles under one roof? Yes, please!
