SOMOS is Moving!

Taos’ own Society of the Muse of the Southwest, SOMOS, is moving to a bigger, badder, more exciting location! All this week they will be preparing for the move with a humongous book sale. Books are just $5 a regulation bag. SOMOS will provide the bags, so leave your oversized Trader Joe’s totes at home.

Now, if the mere whisper of a $5 bag of dusty literary mystery makes you atwitter with the possibility of finding the elusive Moby Dick (literal or figurative) that will complete your own exploding book collection, we know we’ll see you there. However, for those of you still on the fence- SOMOS has something for everyone.

somos logoGenres include Fiction, Mystery/Thriller/Adventure, Biography/Memoir, Reference, Southwest, Art, Music, Children & Young Adult, Metaphysical/Spiritual/Religious, History, Environment, Photography, Crafts, Cookbooks and many, many more. Surely this is an opportunity not to be missed.

The sale will take place at the SOMOS salon’s current location- 233D Paseo del Pueblo Sur (across from Smith’s next to Indian Hills Inn).

Tuesday May 10th through Friday May 13th from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. and Saturday May 14th 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SOMOS’ spiffy new location will be in the heart of town on 108 Civic Plaza Drive- right across from Taos’ new makerspace, the Toolbox. SOMOS will re-open their doors at the new location at the end of May and will again be accepting donations of used books. So, if you have any buyer’s remorse or need to clear some room on your shelf for new purchases- you know where to go. Happy Shopping!
