Based on themes from Tolstoy’s War and Peace, we are exploring the arena of mind – a child’s mind. War is what it feels like when we have hatred and envy on the inside, when we perceive others as having a certain power over us. Peace is sympathy. How do our “leaders” respond? Facing the chaos of internal conflict and frustration, how do we pause and find sympathy and care for one another, and ourselves, when we feel like burning?
