So much has changed since our “This I Believe” program just a year ago: An election was conducted, an inauguration held, and the good this country has stood for is being dismantled in favor of lawlessness, greed, and force. But despite the political, there are still so many values we stand for and work to uphold: generosity, caring, openness, truth, authenticity, critical thinking, and so on. On July 20, our members speak about what they, personally, believe.
About “This I Believe”
During its run on the Edward R. Murrow news program on CBS, and later on NPR, “This I Believe” engaged listeners in a discussion of the core beliefs that guided their daily lives. In both the CBS and NPR programs, people in all walks of life — teachers, farmers, prison inmates, boxers, Nobel laureates and more — were engaged to share their beliefs.
