Taos Youth and Family Center
It’s not the cow, it’s the how! Discover the benefits of high-density adaptive grazing with cattle on a successful demonstration rotational grazing site. Local rancher Pat Pacheco and landowner Shawn Howard will guide you through Shawn’s land just outside of Angel Fire.
Witness firsthand how cattle have been used to significantly enhance forage quality, biodiversity, and soil water retention. Learn about electric fencing, efficient water distribution to multiple paddocks, and effective animal management practices.
This event is open to everyone—whether you’re an experienced grazier or a curious consumer wanting to learn more about regenerative agriculture.
We will meet at the Taos Youth & Family Center at 2:30 PM and caravan to Angel Fire. The tour will begin at 3:30 PM and last for 1.5 hours. We will return to the Taos Youth & Family Center by 6:30 PM.
