In the Mood fro Love
SUN, 4, 2PM
2000 | Romance/Drama | Director Wong Kar-Wai, Starring Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung, Ping Lam Siu | 1h 38m | PG
Two neighbors form a strong bond after both suspect extramarital activities of their spouses. However, they agree to keep their bond platonic so as not to commit similar wrongs.
For the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the film, Wong Kar Wai has revisited the original concept of the film. With this special edition he has offered the possibility of storytelling by adding the unseen chapter as a bonus to the original version.
“In the Mood for Love is probably the most breathtakingly gorgeous film of the year, dizzy with a nose-against-the-glass romantic spirit that has been missing from the cinema forever.”
- Elvis Mitchell, New York TImes
“In the Mood for Love excites us with words not spoken, passions not played out. A mood story more than a love story, it’s all about sustaining a state of exquisite melancholy in the face of desire.”
- Joe Morgonstern, Wall Street Journal
