The Bees & Locusts are a seven-piece, Indigenous-led band from Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, blending organic hip-hop, R&B, soul, funk, and traditional Native rhythms. Led by poet and orchestrator Cody Mirabal (“Ph8”), their live shows are high-energy, positive, and deeply rooted in place and culture. With influences ranging from powwow music to classical Spanish guitar, the band creates a dynamic, dance-forward sound for all ages. Based in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, The Bees & Locusts tour throughout the western U.S. while recording new music.
