Come enjoy two hours of art, music, short films, food, and a prolific and fabulous raffle to support Taos Nest Shelter.
The 6th grade class at Taos Charter School created this fundraiser as part of the Good News Good Planet Schools local program. They chose the cause, the venue, and all of the events. All of the money will go to Taos Nest Shelter. Let’s show these kids that they can make the world a better place and make this evening a success! There will be student art, frito pies, bake sale goods, and raffle tickets to purchase. There will be an information booth from the Nest. Then the students, the Nest, and Good News Good Planet will give a short talk about the project. We will show a few very short student animated films, one of which is New Mexico’s grand prize winner of Film Prize Junior NM. We will pull raffle tickets throughout the evening, and if you can’t stay until the end, don’t worry, we can call you later to get you your prize. What kind of raffle prizes you might ask! We are just getting started and already have local jewelry, local paintings, Humble products, an NMRA rafting trip, High Desert Pilates sessions, a Deliberately Fit gym membership, gift cards for Chokola and the Golden Pinon, to name a few. Of course the TCA concessions will be open to wet your pallet and for any popcorn needs as well!
Aside from food, entertainment, art and fun, we will also have a drop off location at the event to donate any supplies that you may have lying around or would like to purchase and bring to the event. The students will fill backpacks full of the essential supplies after the event and give them and all the donations to Taos Nest Shelter to distribute.
