Sunset Scaries:
The Birds
Drive-in @ TCA Backlot
FRI August 15, 8:30pm
The TCA is back with a new drive-in series, Sunset Scaries, featuring 3 thriller classics that will be showing in our back lot. Tune in with your car radio at 101.5 FM!
The Birds is a 1963 American horror-thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film centers a wealthy socialite pursuing a potential romance only to find herself caught in the midst of the avian terror. The film centers on a series of sudden and unexplained violent bird attacks on the people of Bodega Bay, California. It showcases nature’s power and unpredictability and highlights humanity’s vulnerability and the illusion of control over the natural world.
“Mr. Hitchcock and his associates have constructed a horror film that should raise the hackles of the most courageous and put goose-pimples on the toughest hide.”
– Bosley Crowther, The New York Times
“Genuinely disturbing thriller classic from the master of suspense.”
– Kim Newman, Empire Magazine
