Hailing from Austin, Texas, soundcult is a sound worshipping cult disguised as a band. They utilize modular synths, field recordings, baritone sax, flute, vibraphone, percussion, and pedal steel to carry the listener on an immersive and ecstatic journey rooted in vibrations spanning 20 to 20,000 hz.
Featuring Thor Harris (Swans, Shearwater), Leila Henley, Brent Baldwin and Lyman Hardy (Ed Hall, Total Unicorn), they often perform in quad, or in planetariums or other unusual spaces. An ever evolving live act, soundcult creates expansive, lush, percolating musical landscapes that pulse with energy and hypnotic force.
