“The Birdcage” is a hilarious comedy directed by Mike Nickols about a cabaret owner, Armand Goldman (Robin Williams), and his flamboyant drag queen partner, Albert (Nathan Lane), who must pretend to be straight when their son brings his conservative fiancée’s parents home to meet them. What ensues is a chaotic and uproarious clash of cultures as Armand and Albert try to conceal their true identities, leading to a series of increasingly absurd and comical situations.
