This ongoing exhibition explores the cultural, historical, and environmental significance of acequia systems in New Mexico through the work of contemporary artists. Rooted in traditions of shared water stewardship, the exhibition highlights the deep connections between land, community, and survival in the Southwest.
Featuring work by artists including Floyd Archuleta, Luis Barela, Erin Currier, Jodie Herrera, Nicholas Herrera, Roxanne Swentzell, and more, this exhibition honors the enduring lifeways of the acequias and the people who sustain them.
