Showcasing an international cast of world class dancers, Zikr Dance Ensemble’s “Ritual” will feature the company’s premiere of internationally acclaimed Moroccan/Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s “In Memoriam” pas de deux . This acquisition marks a milestone for the Colorado-based company, known for its fusion of contemporary dance and metaphysical themes. This is a rare honor—no other dance company in Colorado has a piece by Cherkaoui in their repertoire. As Zikr Dance Ensemble continues to expand its repertoire, this acquisition underscores its growing significance in the contemporary dance landscape.
Zikr’s Board, staff and dancers are extremely honored to be selected to premiere this amazing and simply beautiful work and to share it with our Taos audiences!
