If you’ve ever wanted to make your own beats but didn’t know where to start—this is your spot. In this class, we break down the building blocks of hip-hop production: drums, basslines, melodies, structure, and vibe. We’ll work with simple, accessible tools (like FL Studio, Ableton, and even phone apps) to get you making bangers fast.
We’ll also play with creative challenges like Rap Roulette, where students freestyle or write bars over each other’s beats, building confidence and community as we go.
Whether you’re brand new to production or already cooking on your laptop, this class will help you develop your sound—and leave with a beat tape or loop pack to call your own.
