Northern New Mexico has a way of weaving legends into every note—and on Friday, July 12, The High Desert Hideaway becomes the stage for a night of modern folk tales, outlaw rhythms, and desert-born psychedelia.

At 6PM, Escape On a Horse takes the reins for a set of cinematic Americana that rides the line between rock, country, and high desert storytelling. Since 2016, they’ve carved a name across the New Mexico music landscape with raw honesty, boot-stomping energy, and lyrics that feel like they’re lifted from some forgotten Western. They’re not just playing songs—they’re telling tales.

Foggy Memory Boys at 8PM. A brotherhood of string slingers redefining what a bluegrass band can be. Raised in the shadows of the Sangre de Cristos, these genre-bending musicians bring Southwest Psychedelia to life—melding traditional string-band roots with driving melodies, hypnotic harmonies, and an undeniable stage presence. Imagine harmonies echoing off sandstone, and you’ll get close to the vibe.

And when the outdoor dust settles, head into The Mystic Café for a late-night after-party set by Gunsafe, who’ll take it home from 10PM–midnight with moody, poetic folk noir and ghost-town soul.
