Grupo Sangre de Cristo presents
Flor and the Gift of the Blue Eagle
THURS July 17, 7pm
Have you ever wished to receive an important poignant message along with music and acting entertainment? If so, the original play Flor and the Gift of the Blue Eagle offers this idea and more on the Taos Center for the Arts stage this July.
The collaboration between the Taos Center for the Arts, Grupo Sangre de Cristo and The Paseo Project includes actors of various ages and from different walks of life. Nicolas Gonzalez Medina, an Artist-in-Residence from The Paseo Project and his assistant Nekira Wilson share their artistic talents to provide the backdrop and set design for the play. Theresa (Tessa) Córdova, Ph.D., directs the production.
The play, written by San Cristobal resident Enriqueta Vasquez, provides thought-provoking elements that center around the age-old battle between preserving traditions and life in the changing modern world. Timeless topics such as war, politics, land rights, climate change, miracles, superstitions and personal relationships provide the food for thought necessary in our lives today.
Flor and the Miracle of the Blue Eagle includes a 13-member cast from several New Mexico localities- Albuquerque, Bernalillo, Alcalde, Española, El Guique, El Prado, Questa and Amalia.
All sales are final and no refund will be issued.
