Jack Lorang is a Taos, NM-based songwriter with timeless poetic vision and a true gift for original expression. While he carries on the folk traditions of the sixties and seventies, he has created a vocal/guitar style that is all his own. Lorang’s songs reflect the rugged beauty of the landscape and expansive splendor of the night sky. He tours and performs in Taos.

Disturbance, A Forest in Motion: A Youth, Art + Ecology Event
Opening Reception 5pm to 7:30pm

Hundreds of northern New Mexico students have been exploring fire, forests, and resilience through art ecology. Now, their ideas come to life in “disturbance: a forest in motion art and ecology event” at the Stables Gallery. This is an immersive, student created experience, exploring growth, fire, regeneration, and renewal. The public is invited to the opening on Friday, October 2, from 5pm to 7:30pm and musician Robert Quijano will be performing! Gallery hours on the weekend: Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Disturbance is presented by The Paseo Project, Del Fuego, Forest Stewards Guild and its programs take place August 28, 2026 through January 31, 2027.

Artist Jeff Cochran’s One Hundred Pictures of T.A.C.O. 2018-2026″ covers eight years of the Taos Auto Cruise Organization meeting at various locations around Taos and celebrating the vibrant and varied car culture of Taos New Mexico. The artistic skills of custom car builders and the community that supports them is captured in these images. This exhibition also features art based on the photographs in the exhibition that was created by local Taos students.
