Celebrate creativity and community with an evening of art openings, live music, artist demos, and summertime treats in one of Taos’ most vibrant creative corners.
At Lake Object, explore the opening of Material Stories: Pieces from the Elsie Michie Art Jewelry Collection, a rare exhibition of contemporary art jewelry by internationally acclaimed makers. Artemisia Artwear will host a Model Walkabout from 5–6pm, showcasing handwoven garments and accessories by regional fiber artists. Taos Blue welcomes artist Geraldine Liermann, who will be on-site to share her work and process. At Ultraviolet, catch live stone carving demonstrations by artists Britt Brown and Stephanie Robison, a Helene Wurlitzer Foundation resident. Cool off with liquid nitrogen ice cream from Mudd n Flood, and enjoy live music by the ever-inspiring Rita O’Connell.
