From Asbury Park, NJ, Dogs In A Pile fuse psychedelic jazz-funk rock ’n’ roll. A busy touring band (≈130 shows/yr since 2022), they feature Distroid, a 10-song album with studio versions of live favorites. Members: Jimmy Law, Brian Murray, Jeremy Kaplan, Sam Lucid, Joe Babick; Dog Pound fans form their extended family. Their name hints at Americana, bluegrass, jazz, funk, Latin, reggae, and more—tight four-minute funk tracks and sprawling improvisations.
