Taos Public Library will screen two important peace films: “The World Is My Country” and “An Ordinary Insanity”. Also, celebrate the United Nations days of global peace : UN International Day of Peace (9/21), UN International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons (9/26) and (10/2) UN International Day for Non-Violence & Gandhi’s birthday. Taos is a unique place on our planet with the designation, since 1995 by then Mayor Peralta, as the first global peace zone.
