Taos 48 Hour Film Challenge
We’re baaaaaack! And pumped to be hosting another Taos 48 Hour Film Challenge! Gather your team and register by Friday, July 10th at 6:00PM to partake in all the fun filled madness. Be sure to follow our IG @taos48hrfilm and stay up to speed with all that we have in store.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Assemble your team.
- Complete your registration form HERE and pay your registration fee.
- Receive your prompt. On FRIDAY, July 10th at 7:01PM the 48HR team will send a prompt (see example below) to the email you provide at exactly 7:01PM. Then it’s up to you and your team to write, shoot and edit a short film that’s no longer than 7-minutes… in 48 hours!
Prompt example:
+ theme/genre, ex: Musical Thriller!
+ a line of dialogue, ex: “Don’t put that in there!”
+ a prop, ex: a hammer
- Submit your film. Your team will have until SUNDAY, July 12th at 7:01PM (NO EXCEPTIONS) to send us your film (7-minutes max) as a downloadable .mp4 or. mov to info@taos48.org. If your submission is not delivered by 7:01PM your team will be disqualified from the challenge.
- Prepare for the red carpet! On THURSDAY, July 16th at 6:30PM at the Taos Center for the Arts, all eligible films will be shown on the BIG Screen!

Doors open: 5:30PM
Tickets: $15.00
Filmmaker Meet & Greet pre-screening in TCA’s Encore lobby starting at 5:30PM.
Join us after the show for the official after party at Hotel Willa!
