Jeffrey M. Hills, a first-time author and finalist in the New Mexico Book Awards for his memoir “My Brooklyn Bridge,” will relay compelling stories from the chapters of his life, inviting you to “Take a Journey with Me as I Build a Career in Dentistry, Inventing, and Furniture.” As the author explains in his Foreword, the book is a compilation of “… favorite stories that I have told … about what endeavors have meant the most to me both in my mind and in my heart.”
The memoir is a wonderful example of local Taos talent pulling together to turn ideas into reality. Working with the Nighthawk Press and Kelly Pasholk of Wink Visual Arts, Hills and his loving wife Phyllis spent countless hours editing the manuscript and also carefully selecting photos to be included from thousands of candidates. The talented staff at Fine Art New Mexico in Arroyo Seco created beautiful digital versions of the selected images.
Dedicated to Phyllis and to his grandchildren, Hills celebrates the “intersecting and the over lapping sense of time and experience” and reminds us all to “Find your talent, treat it with integrity and hard work and you will have found the meaning to work is love made visible.”
