Ballet Taos Summer Company Project returns to the stage to present two ballets in two acts by two choreographers for two twofold performances. Experience professional dance in Taos, two evenings only, at the Taos Center for the Arts. For our sixth season of Summer Company Project, this split-bill features eight returning extraordinary professional guest artists joined by Ballet Taos Academy Summer Intensive pre-professional students. Act I, classical, Mendelssohn’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ choreographed by Artistic Director of Ballet Taos, Megan Yackovich. Act II, contemporary, ‘Jock Rocks’ choreographed by Mr. Jock Soto, New York City Ballet. Join us in support of northern New Mexico performing artists. Art is vital. Movement is essential. Dance is pivotal.
