Experience an evening of ambient soundscapes on December 7th, featuring California-based composer Chuck Johnson’s evocative pedal steel and Taos’s own Bēon, a collaborative musical project born from the high desert’s inspiring landscape.
Chuck Johnson is renowned for his masterful use of pedal steel guitar and alternate tuning systems, creating immersive audio journeys that evoke memory, time, and emotion.
Bēon, a Taos-based quartet, unites the creative forces of Linda Beecroft, Michael Gerner, Ashley Bellouin, and Ben Bracken. Rooted in the expansive Arroyo Hondo mesa, their music blends electronic, traditional, and handmade instruments to create meditative washes of sound.
