AstroTour: A New Way to See the Stars

STEMarts Lab invites the community to a free evening event combining science, storytelling, and technology on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 8:30 to 10:00 PM at the Harwood Museum of Art. Refreshments will be served.
The AstroTour will begin at 8:30 PM in the back courtyard of the museum, where guest storytellers will share personal and scientific narratives that trace our connection to the stars under the early night sky.
As darkness sets in around 9:30 PM, the event will shift to the front parking lot where participants will explore a series of Augmented Reality Astro Stations using their smartphones to unlock animated overlays of constellations in the night sky created by STEMarts students.
The AstroTour concludes with a telescope viewing station, where guests will have the opportunity to observe celestial objects up close and engage with space science experts.
