Friday (October 11th) at Taos Mesa Brewing, Roots + Wires brings another fantastic show to Taos Mesa Brewing in the form of the Cedric Burnside Project and Jimmy “Duck” Holmes.

A collaboration between Cedric Burnside and Trenton Ayers, this is some seriously dirty Mississippi Hill Country blues. Also, singing drummers are the shit.
Jimmy “Duck” Holmes
Owner of the Blue Front Cafe in Bentonia, MS, Holmes is another one of these ridiculously talented old blues dudes who’s been playing music since before most of us were a twinkle in our parents eyes. Here’s a great interview with him (in front of the very aptly-named Blue Front):
