On Friday, September 26, brand-new art festival The Paseo will bring the arts of projection, installation, and performance to the streets of the Taos Historic District.
Coinciding with the opening night of the 40th-annual Taos Fall Arts, The Paseo will bring some of the best in contemporary art that is “experimental, time-based, ephemeral, participatory, and context-responsive.” If those 5 fabulous adjectives doesn’t excite you, the list of participating artists certainly will: alongside local artists Agnes Chaves, Christina Sporrong, and Christian Ristow, The Paseo is bringing a roster of international artists working in mediums ranging from dance to digital art to sculpture to something amazing called “The Sound Illuminator” and back again.
You can see the full list of participating artists here.
The folks at The Paseo are looking for some community support to make this event really sing. They’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign, featuring some great incentives for your participation. But really, who needs more of an incentive than being able to say “Check it out — I helped bring spectacular world-class art to the streets of Taos!”?
