As if it weren’t already obvious that fall is well upon us, here’s a true harbinger of the changing seasons: Friday and Saturday (October 10 & 11th) are the annual FITaos Youth Nature Photo Exhibit, Be FIT Raffle, and the ever-popular Taos Winter Sports Team Annual Ski Swap.
FITaos Youth Nature Photo Exhibit and Be FIT Raffle
At the FITaos Youth Nature Photo Exhibit, you’ll see more than 200 nature photos taken by young Taosenos (aged 5 – 16), on sale for $10. I realize it might be a skoshe early to start thinking about Christmas, but you’re sure to melt some hearts with a beautiful photo of our lovely town taken by a charming child.
On Saturday October 11th, at about 6pm, they’ll announce the winners of the 7th Annual Be FIT Raffle, a fantastic way to support FIT’s outdoor education programming (learn more about FIT here). Raffle tickets are also just $10 (so break those twenties before you come!) and include some pretty sweet prizes, including:
- Taos Ski Valley Millennium Season Pass 2014-2015
- Quail Ridge Taos One Year Tennis and Swim Family Membership 2015
- 6-month Gym Membership at Northside Health and Fitness Center
- Family Season Pass at Enchanted Forest XC Ski Area
- Three nights lodging in a luxury 2 bedroom condo at The Edelweiss Lodge and Spa in TSV
- Half Day Guided Rock Climbing for 2 with Mountain Skills Guides

Plus, you don’t need to be there to win, so just drop by KTAO, say hello to the nice people, and buy some raffle tickets to support a healthier Taos!

Taos Winter Sports Team Annual Ski Swap
This one’s nice and straight forward: come on down to KTAO and pick through racks and piles full of great deals on winter gear. Here’s the schedule:
Fri Oct 10, 6 – 9pm ($20 at pavilion door)
First Pick Sale — you have to pay, but you’ll get in ahead of the crowds and get your hands on everything you need for the best ski season ever. Rumor is the snows will be plentiful, so this might be the year you finally upgrade…
Sat. Oct 11, 10am until 6pm, Free Admission
