Hey ladies, were you looking for something to do this weekend that involves fresh air, fun women, and power tools? Good news: the Habitat for Humanity Taos Women’s Build is here for you.
Join Habitat for Humanity Taos on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, from 9am to 3pm both days. They’ll be building a house for Adrianna Mares and her kids Daniel and Dannika. Habitat will have materials, tools, snacks, water, and instructors on site — you just bring your enthusiastic self.
Whether you’re already a master carpenter or you have two left hands, they’ll find a great way for you to help out — no construction experience is necessary. And even if you can’t commit to all of both days, you can always drop in for a half day! As of yesterday 23 women were already registered, and the weather is shaping up to be gee-orgeous. So it’s a great opportunity to get out and bond with a bunch of wonderful Taos women in the name of a fantastic cause.
And, ok, men can come too — but they’re shooting for 75% lady labor, so call your girl friends before you call your guy friends.
