This Friday, February 24th, True Taos Talent 2017 will take place at Old Martina’s Hall showcasing the best Taos has to offer.
The show starts at 7 p.m. and also features musical performances by Taos’ own Po.10.Cee and Wake Self from Albuquerque. Participants can sign up in advance or right at the door! Anything goes and True Taos Talent welcomes singers, dancers, comedians and everything in between to come out for one night only and share their skills with the community.

The show is organized by T-MULA, a hiphop artist and promoter from Taos. He has a simple mission: to bring up those in the community around him. By sponsoring True Taos Talent, T-MULA is creating a venue for our community to come together for one night of celebration and fun. T-MULA has been sponsoring various events in the community for the past couple of years all geared towards bringing Taos together. They’re usually all ages. Most recently he sponsored the 2nd Annual Breaking Bread Thanksgiving show last November at Caffe Tazza as a fundraiser for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
True Taos Talent will be judged by four celebrity judges, all well known throughout town. Patricia Michaels, Larry Torres, Judy Cantu and Michael Dean are all scheduled to be on the scene. Talent acts of the evening will be competing for the grand $500 cash prize, and other free give-aways and honors. The evening will also include a light show, drink specials and featured musical guests.
When we asked T-MULA what his hopes for the night are, he replied, “I don’t know what to expect. I like to build dreams and create memories,” and finally, “You won’t leave empty handed.”
And, for those of you that prefer to spectate, sit back, relax and enjoy the show, the price is just $10 at the door or $15 for couples!
