Butch has shared the stage with:
Willie Nelson, John Lee Hooker, Waylon Jennings, David Allen Cole, Dough Sahm, Johnny Bush, Joe King Carasco, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr., Tina Turner, Augie Meyers, Shake Russell, Steve Forbet, Arkey Blue and Steve Earle. Just to name a few…
He is a triple threat on the Texas music scene; he is a songwriter, storyteller, and guitarist who is constantly pushing his limits as a performer. He honed his chops as a guitar player in various USO bands while in the military during Vietnam, then came home to the San Antonio area and became known across Texas for his lead guitar skills and his energetic performance style. He found his songwriter groove at The Kerrville Folk Festival and was a finalist for New Folk in 2005 and 2008 and a winner of the Wildflower Performing Songwriters contest in 2004. A “Singer/Songwriter of the Year” nominee at the Texas Music Awards in 2012, Morgan continues to grab audiences with his songwriting and storytelling, punctuated by the taste and tone of a world class guitarist.
9.04 All Day Thursday
Fall Reintroduction of
“Old ’96 Sticke Alt”
We will be showcasing the reintroduction this Thursday and pairing it with free portions of Kraut and Spatzle (a kind of soft egg noodle or dumpling found in the cuisines of southern Germany and of Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Alsace and South Tyrol.)
(Pronounced ‘Sch-TICK-uh’)
Taos Mesa Brewing’s Old ’96 Sticke Alt is copper in color, has the flavor complexity of an ale, the noble hop bouquet and creamy head of a Pils, and the clean, mellow-smooth finish of an Oktoberfest. We use 4 different varieties of malt and a whopping 8 varieties of hops.
