Taos’ 6th Annual Juneteenth honors local Black authors by hearing excerpts from their books and demonstrations of their work. Free!
This years’ Juneteenth theme is, “One for the Books.” This year we are exploring the authors and storytellers of New Mexico while also providing another exciting festival experience.
What to expect:
- Free food and drink to the first 150 guests
- Readings and demonstrations from our authors on the subject of their books
- Music & performance from the Bodega DJs & crew
- Free Blockprinting
- Free entry to Taos Art Museum & exhibits
- Crafts & Vendors
- & Our annual Fashion show!
This year’s fashion show will be a thoughtful display by CHNG closet (Clothes Have No Gender – a free trans friendly closet) that honors poignant works of literature by Black authors. Hope to see you there on Friday, June 19th 2026 at 3PM at Taos Art Museum – Fechin House!
