I Love Boosters follows Corvette (Keke Palmer), an aspiring designer living in a squatted Bay Area chicken restaurant. She leads “The Velvet Gang,” a crew of professional shoplifters (“boosters”) who steal high-fashion garments from a cutthroat, billionaire fashion mogul and sell them to the community at deeply discounted prices, which they dub “fashion-forward philanthropy”.
