Museum Mondays - Free Summer Kids Reading Program

Join us this summer for Museum Mondays, a playful and enriching early childhood program designed for children ages 2 to 4, with siblings always welcome. Held on Monday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, this eight-week series offers families a chance to learn, explore, and connect in a creative museum setting.
Each session brings a new story to life through a read-aloud, followed by hands-on activities inspired by the book. Children will explore the museum through guided experiences, engage in art and motor-skill activities, and enjoy a fun, themed snack that ties it all together.
Rooted in New Mexico’s Early Learning Guidelines, Museum Mondays supports social-emotional growth, early literacy, and skill development in a warm, community-centered environment. Children build vocabulary, practice decision-making, strengthen motor skills, and connect with peers through meaningful play.
Now in its third year, Museum Mondays continues to grow through collaboration with local families, student interns, and dedicated volunteers. It’s more than just story time, it’s a space for discovery, creativity, and connection for Taos families.
