The Woodpecker Keeps Returning: Artist Talk, Demonstration & Pop-Up
with Ekin Balcıoğlu & Max Massey
THU, April 2 5:30pm – 6:30pm

FREE & Open to the public
Join artists Ekin Balcıoğlu and Max Massey for an artist talk and live demonstration in conjunction with their exhibition The Woodpecker Keeps Returning. The evening will begin with a carving demonstration by Ekin, offering a glimpse into her sgraffito process and how narrative imagery emerges on clay. Ekin and Max will then speak about their individual practices as well as their collaborative work, sharing insights into the ideas behind the exhibition and the dialogue between drawing, surface, and form in their ceramics. The talk will conclude with time for audience questions. After the event, we will host a small one-day pop-up with a selection of smaller works available for purchase for attendees.
