Please join us for a meeting hosted by Amigos Bravos to restore and beautify the Rio Fernando here in Taos.
Thursday, February 19th 6 -7:30 pm
Abbie’s Studio Theater
114 Los Pandos Road, Taos, NM
(Park at Smiths and walk 100 yards up Los Pandos. For questions and special mobility needs, call Will and Abbie at 575 240 4913.)
The goal is to return the Rio Fernando in Taos to the natural beauty that many of the Native and Hispanic old timers remember. And to also ensure the continuance of the acequia system that for centuries has been the one of the most essential and beautiful aspects of Taos’ culture and heritage. This would include a cottonwood lined riverine footpath from Witt Road to Fred Baca Park.
Officials from the County have said they will attend. Before making any decisions, they want to hear from the people of Taos about the proposed project.
