High Desert Acoustic Duo is a collaboration of cello, fiddle, guitar, and vocals, drawing from a wide range of musical traditions alongside original songs. For more than 20 years, Mark Dudrow and Justin Dean have been entertaining audiences throughout the upper Rio Grande region. Their sound blends thoughtful songwriting with tunes inspired by landscapes near and far—rooted deeply in the rugged beauty of the high desert.
Specializing in live performance and the connection that happens in the moment, this is music best experienced in person. When they’re not playing local venues, benefits, farmers’ markets, or backcountry weddings, you’re more likely to find them hiking, skiing, floating rivers, or gathering firewood than posting online.
