Some days it seems like we are surrounded by negativity: bad news in the news, hostile and aggressive drivers, rude or indifferent encounters with others, human cruelty, heartbreak, etc. The accumulation of all this negativity can bring us down and cause us pain. The longer we live the more obvious it becomes that we need to stage a war against this negativity in order to thrive and be of benefit to others.
