Community Float on the Rio Grande
Saturday, June 14th, 2025
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Taos County (See description for specific location.)
LOCATION: Far Flung Riverside – Pilar, NM, 85 NM-570, Embudo, NM 87531, USA
Join us for our second annual free Community River Float down the mellow Orilla Verde float section outside of Pilar, NM! This river float will consist of mellow Class I-II rapids that are suitable for familes, first timers and children as young as 4 years old. Each raft will have a proffesional river guide to steer the boat, provide information on the area and see that your time on the water is safe and enjoyable. If you are a first time rafter or a seasoned river runner this will be a fun and relaxing way to experience the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument.
This event is sponsored by Diversify Whitewater, a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to paddling for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and allies.
Free parking is available at the Far Flung Adventures Riverside Office.
