We’re already halfway through the SOMOS Winter Writers Series, but never fear, there’s plenty more literary goodness to come.
Trust me: if you’ve never been to one of these, it’s really worth checking out. Even if you’re not much of a reader, it’s a wonderful experience to sit and watch someone share something they’ve created with many hours of love and labor; plus, the Arthur Bell Auditorium is a truly incredible space, and it’s designed perfectly for events like this.
Just pick the theme or topic that seems appealing to you and try it once, and I’ll never ask again, I promise.
All Writers Series events are held on Thursdays at the Arthur Bell Auditorium in the Harwood Museum at 7:00pm. SOMOS and Harwood members $6; non-members $8.

On February 21: 4th Annual Youth Writers Night: high school students from Taos High, Chrysalis, Vista Grande, & Taos Academy share poetry and prose: hosted by Francis Hahn (THS), Orion Cervio (Chrysalis), Ned Dougherty (Vista Grande) & Gail Densow, (Taos Academy).
On February 28: David Mills, actor & writer performs Dreamweaver, the works of Langston Hughes spanning characters from the 1920s through the 1960s.
