We live in a chaotic world, where feeling safe can be a difficult place to find inside and outside of ourselves. Yoga Sanctuary is an experience and exploration of Hatha Yoga. It’s not just a posture class for a workout – but rather a system for self development and personal transformation by applying ethical and moral codes to practice, and to life. Without the concepts of non-violence, truthfulness, contentment, purity, self discipline and others, there is no foundation from which to create a practice. Combined with postures, breath awareness and a 20 minute guided relaxation, we have a more complete, and nourishing experience. Yoga Sanctuary is particularly suited to those with anxiety, ptsd or who are not comfortable in social settings. Hatha Yoga can assist us in navigating the ups and downs of daily life from a stable, balanced place, and teaches us to find the sanctuary within.
