Tone Ranger and Woven Talon return to Taos Mesa Brewery for Summer Supernatural, an evening of immersive desert dance music under the summer stars.
Tone Ranger, who will be featured at Meow Wolf’s Taos Vortex festival, will be showcasing new work from the recently released On the Horizon EP (March 2019, Jumpsuit Records). Moreover, he will share the deeper magic he has been tapping into in preparation for a full-length album due for release towards the end of the year. The new songs feature more vocalists, trumpets, flutes, violins, Spanish guitar, and synthesizers, along with his signature cosmic lap steel guitar. You can expect an ever-deepening dance experience, a celebration of the majestic Northern New Mexico sound and landscape.
Returning home to New Mexico after a Summer tour in New Zealand, Woven Talon will be celebrating the release of their new album, Dreamlines. Composed by former Taos artist Andrew Tumason, Dreamlines was conceived in New Zealand and came to full fruition in Santa Fe, where Tumason spends most of his time producing visionary music. Dreamlines carries a deeper conceptual story through layers of vocal-based layers, groovy African-influenced percussion, and entrancing bass tones. Taos being one of the most influential landscapes for Tumason’s musical evolution, an evening of music surrounded by the Sangre de Cristos is befitting for the album’s release.
