Sharing Circle: Adversity > Resilience

Sunday, Jul 28th, 2019

Adversity is a fact of life. Resilience is that ineffable quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back at least as strong. Rather than letting difficulties or failure overcome them and drain their resolve, they find a way to rise from the ashes. A resilient person has the inner resources that enable them to move into the next moment with hope and dignity. Resilience involves bringing experience, wisdom, compassion, and the promise that life will continue.

Come share an experience, past or present, that has tapped your resilience. What did you do to get through this experience? Is hope part of resiliency? What about forgiveness? How might you go about cultivating resilience for yourself?
