7:30 pm-11:00 pm
Local, national and international artists present immersive and participatory art installations that use hi- and low-tech media to explore “Connections”– our interactions with each other, nature, and the world–through multi-sensory experiences. The nexus for the festival is Taos Historic District where more than 25 works will be featured, ranging from performance to new media technology. All will actively engage the public with place–whether projecting on Taos’s adobe walls or highlighting its historic acequias. One 2019 presenter is La Pocha Nostra from San Francisco, a trans-disciplinary arts organization that provides a forum for artists of diverse generations and ethnic backgrounds. The festival is 100% free. Pre- and post-festival workshops and parties are planned.
