For the past several years, Dora Dillistone has been a “literal landscape” artist, using chance and the elements to create haunting images on canvas and paper. At a certain point in her evolution as an artist, she says, “I started moving outdoors. I decided that contrary to what everyone else seemed to be doing—going high tech—I wanted to step away and let the marks be made by the land itself, and the elements.” The works in the Wright Office are made from pollen cast into the wind and captured on canvas as it traveled through the air; from imprints of flowers and leaves from her garden, and from inks poured on paper in an arroyo to chart the changes in the surface of the land.
Dora’s work will be shown in the Wright’s Office . Please come and join us to welcome her work and mingle.
