The second of this summer’s Crooked Creek Concert Series brings an 18 voice Barbershop Chorus to the stage: Route 66 Sound Chorus, chartered in 2011 with Sweet Adelines International. These Albuquerque women are “crazy talented and fun”. The concert will include both traditional and new barbershop tunes plus a celebration of Independence Day! More information about Route 66 Sound can be found at: www.route66sound.org/about-us/
The concert takes place at 5 Crooked Creek Trail. Ten miles east of Taos on US 64, turn south into Valle Escondido, follow the main road two miles, past the golf course, and look left into the meadow (please drive slowly on the dirt roads).
The concerts are free and outdoors in a beautiful high mountain meadow. Bring your own chair, rain jacket, and a snack to share during intermission. Water, some beer and wine provided (or BYO).
