Encore Gallery at The Taos Center for the Arts

“Art in Solidarity from Taos” offers TCA’s Encore Gallery as a space for the community to express solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement and for the widening civil rights movement that affects all of us, those we don’t know and those we love, too. This is a moment where voices — words and pictures — make a difference. Share your work as a support for those here and afar. Criteria 8.5 x 11 sized paper, unframed, 2D Work may be pen/paper, pencil, watercolor, paint, photo/collage, mixed media collage Drop-off Wednesday, July 1, 9am – 3pm at the front of the Encore Gallery. Please wear a mask. Free and open to all. One work per artist. Note about the exhibition: Pending the opening of the Encore Gallery, TCA anticipates this show to be open to limited and scheduled viewing sometime in July and through August 23. As we are responding to state mandates, we will announce view dates as soon as we get the goahead to open. In the event that the Encore Gallery cannot open, TCA will highlight the art works virtually. Along with “Art in Solidarity,” the children’s “This is Me: A Kid’s Virtual Art Show,” which is currently available virtually at www.tcataos.org, will be on view in the gallery.
