The Black and White Print Show includes the work of Local Artists Sarah Hart (Hart Print Shop and Ennui Gallery), Luis Garcia (Coyote Moon), and Sarah Parker (Ennui Gallery and Lost Sunshine Cinema Collective). Hart’s humor and stylized perspective is highlighted through her screen-prints, Garcias’ traditional black and white block printed images give a bold look at the world, while Parker’s block prints and animation explore the tenderness of life in a harsh environment. The show combines these three styles to provide the viewer with a hard and humorous look at the Northern Desert of New Mexico.
Show Dates: August 5-7 Friday-Sunday
Hours: Saturday and Sunday 10-5
Opening: Friday from 5-8

Sarah Hart is a screen printer, illustrator and graphic designer from Taos, NM. Her work examines a balance between the technical discipline of printmaking, and the unaffected imagination and creativity that she believes makes art approachable and sincere.
“In these times of instant gratification, I find it important to savor and revel in the process of making art. Screen printing dissects and reassembles my drawings to create something entirely new. It prolongs the creative process, expanding beyond the production of a single drawing.”
